This article explains how to interpret the Nudges Dashboard in SMARTFENSE and what information each indicator and section of the panel provides.
The Dashboard is available at Nudges > Dashboard.
What this Dashboard is for
The Nudges Dashboard summarizes the delivery and reach of your organization's Nudges. It allows you to quickly check whether coaching messages are being delivered correctly and which behaviors your users are being supported on.
From this Dashboard you can access the full delivery audit using the View audit button.
To learn what Nudges are and how to configure them, see the article Nudges.
Key indicators
The top section displays four indicators:
- Nudges sent: total number of nudges sent in the period, one for each send to a person.
- Delivery rate: percentage of nudges delivered without error through their channels. It is the key indicator: green ≥95%, amber ≥80%, red below. A low value indicates that a sending channel is failing.
- Delivery failures: number of nudges whose delivery ended with an error in the period.
- Active nudges: number of active nudges available for your organization: custom (own) and predefined.
Sections of the panel
Delivery rate and trend
Shows the ratio of successful deliveries to failed ones and its daily evolution over the selected period. With the View failures button you can open the details of each failed delivery in a searchable, paginated, and downloadable table.
Delivery by channel
Shows the delivery rate of each available channel (email, Slack, or Teams), allowing you to identify which one is experiencing issues.
Nudges with failures and most frequent errors
Nudges with failures shows which nudges accumulate the most delivery errors in the period. Most frequent errors shows which error messages are repeated most often. Both sections help guide your review when there are delivery issues.
Behaviors that trigger nudges
Shows the observed behaviors that triggered nudges the most, grouped by content family (Phishing, Ransomware, Exams, etc.). The color of each bar classifies the behavior into three types:
- Risk: behaviors that increase risk, for example clicking on a phishing simulation, downloading ransomware, or failing an exam. A high volume indicates where to reinforce awareness.
- Positive: correct behaviors, for example reporting phishing, passing an exam, or completing training. The nudge reinforces good habits.
- Neutral: process events, neither good nor bad, for example receiving, opening, or starting content. The nudge serves as a reminder.
Comparing the risk volume against the positive within the same family indicates whether your coaching is mostly corrective or reinforcing. The main families are shown; the rest are grouped under "Others." The CSV button downloads the complete detail by trigger.
Users who received the most coaching
Lists the people who received the most nudges in the period. Each user's current risk band is shown as context. The CSV button downloads the complete list.
Receiving coaching means the platform is supporting the user, not singling them out. The number of nudges received is a correlation of context, not proof that coaching has reduced risk.
Nudges by risk band
Shows the distribution of nudges sent according to the user's risk band at the time of delivery.
Configuration status
Summarizes the current state of your nudges: active and inactive custom nudges, active predefined nudges, covered triggers, and active custom nudges that were not triggered during the period (possible misconfigured trigger).
Use the Personalized and Predefined buttons to go directly to managing each type.
Recommended actions
Shows suggestions derived from the delivery status of your nudges, prioritized by severity.
Period and downloads
With the Period selector you can analyze the last 7, 30, 90 days, or 12 months. All cards and graphs are recalculated when changed.
Some sections show only the main results to keep the reading clear. In those cases, the CSV button downloads the complete detail for the period. To review deliveries with errors one by one, use View failures.
Data scope
The panel considers only the data from your organization. For the complete detail of each delivery, use the View audit button or see the article Nudges reports.
💡 Best practices
- Review the Delivery rate regularly. A value below 80% indicates that a channel is experiencing issues and requires immediate attention.
- Use View failures to identify the exact source of errors before contacting technical support.
- Analyze Behaviors that trigger nudges to identify which content families concentrate the most risk behaviors and adjust your awareness strategy accordingly.
- Review Configuration status to detect active triggers that have not generated nudges in the period, as this may indicate an incorrect configuration.
- Check Recommended actions after each configuration change to verify there are no pending alerts.
