The reminder setting defines whether reminders will be sent in ongoing campaigns, but its behavior depends on when it is set and the status of the campaigns.
Where is it configured?
The setting is located at:
Settings > Notifications > Reminders
From there you can define whether reminders will be sent for:
- Interactive Modules
- Videos
- Video Games
- Exams
- Surveys
How does it impact campaigns?
Activation of reminders
If you activate reminders while there are ongoing campaigns:
- Reminders will NOT be sent in those active campaigns
- This is because reminders are defined at the time of the campaign scheduling
Deactivation of reminders
If reminders were enabled and then disabled:
- Reminders will NOT be sent in ongoing campaigns
- Reminders will NOT be sent in new campaigns that are scheduled
This means that deactivation has an immediate and global effect.
How to send reminders in ongoing campaigns?
If a campaign was configured with “Do not send reminders” and you still want to notify users, you can use the pending campaigns notification. You can configure it in the section Sent from Settings > Notifications > Pending campaigns.
