This article describes the three reports available in the Adoption and activity card in the Reports section of SMARTFENSE. To access each one, go to the Reports menu, locate the Adoption and activity card, and click the corresponding eye icon.
Proactive adoption by user and area
Lists each active user with their proactive activity for the period: activity performed on their own initiative, outside of an assigned campaign. Allows you to identify users with no proactive activity at all — the group with the highest residual risk.
Header indicators: Active users, Active proactive users, Users without proactive use, and Proactive adoption rate.
Users: filterable table by group, functional area, level of hierarchy, smart group, period, and status (All / Active proactive / Without proactive use). Columns show the user's area and level, their status, the number of distinct contents proactively finished, and the date of the last proactive interaction. Includes CSV download.
The Active proactive / Without proactive use status indicates only whether the user had proactive activity during the period — not whether their account is active or deactivated.
Only proactive components are considered: Interactive Modules, Videos, Video Games, and Newsletters.
Proactive content coverage
Shows which content in the catalog available to end users is being proactively finished and which is not. The unit of analysis is the content, not the user.
Header indicators: Catalog coverage (%), Available contents, Finished contents, and Not finished.
Available content: filterable table by status (All / Finished / Not finished). Columns show the name and type of the content, whether it has been finished by at least one user, the number of distinct users who finished it, and the date of the last proactive interaction. Includes CSV download.
The catalog includes active SMARTFENSE shared content plus the client's own content, according to the availability settings of each component.
Status of assigned training
Shows the status of training assigned by campaign: how much is completed, pending, or overdue. Covers all training components (Interactive Modules, Videos, Video Games, Newsletters, Exams, and Surveys).
Header indicators: Percentage completed, Assigned, Completed, Pending, and Overdue.
Overdue items are a subset of pending ones: they are already counted within pending and are not added separately. Assigned = Completed + Pending.
Filters: group, functional area, level of hierarchy, smart group, and Expires between (already expired, next 15 / 30 / 60 days). The Expires between filter does not change the snapshot date: the information always reflects the current status.
Sections: By component, By functional area, By hierarchical level, and By group. Each shows the counts for Assigned, Completed, Pending, and Overdue, sorted by highest backlog. All include CSV download; the By component CSV exports the full nominal detail by user and content, with dates and days overdue.
💡 Best practices
- Use the Without proactive use filter in Proactive adoption to get the nominal list of users to act on and share it with area managers.
- Use the Not finished filter in Proactive content coverage to detect content that no user consumes on their own and evaluate whether to reinforce it with a campaign or remove it from the catalog.
- Use the Expires between filter in Status of assigned training to anticipate upcoming deadlines and send reminders before assignments expire.
- Cross-reference Proactive adoption and Status of assigned training: users with low voluntary use and overdue assignments represent the highest residual risk segment.
