This article describes the report available on the Phishing Report Button card in the Reports section of SMARTFENSE. It displays the activity of users who report suspicious emails using the button installed in their email client.
To access the report, go to the Reports menu, locate the Phishing Report Button card, and click on the eye icon corresponding to Email Reports Over Time.
Email Reports Over Time
Shows the daily evolution of emails reported by users through the phishing report button.
- Visualization: line chart with points.
- X-Axis: days.
- Y-Axis: number of reports.
Indicators
The chart distinguishes two series:
- Simulations: reported emails that belong to SMARTFENSE simulation campaigns.
- Other emails: reported emails that do not belong to simulation campaigns (for example, real phishing attempts or false positives).
Exporting and Printing
The report allows exporting the chart as an image or printing it. To access the options menu, click the three dots (⋯) icon located at the top right corner of the chart.
The available options are:
- Export as image: PNG, JPG, or PDF.
- Print: sends the chart to the selected printer.
💡 Best Practices
- Review the report periodically to identify variations in the number of emails reported, both from simulations and other emails.
- Compare the Simulations reports with active campaigns to assess whether users are correctly detecting simulated phishing attempts.
- Use the Other emails reports as input for analyzing real incidents or false positives detected by users.
- Export the chart as an image when preparing executive reports or presentations to reflect the organization's reporting activity.
