Behavior When Content Is Not Available in the User's Language
In cases where content is not language, SMARTFENSE follows the search order below:
Similar languages, according to the following groups:
SpanishSpanish (Latin America)
Spanish (Spain)
Spanish (Mexico)
Basque (Euskadi)
Portuguese
Portuguese (Brazil)
Portuguese (Portugal)
English
English (United Kingdom)
English (United States)
If there is no similar language, the content is searched for in the preferred language of the instance, configured in Settings > Organization > Preferred Language.
Note: The language selection logic for predefined assignment notifications works as follows: when a user has a configured language code that is not supported, the platform first looks for an available variant of the same language, then uses the preferred language configured in the organization, and as a last option, falls back to the default language.
Custom Content and Translations
In SMARTFENSE, all content is 100% customizable, allowing it to be adapted to the needs of each organization.
When working with custom content, it is essential to understand how the translation process works.
You can find more information in the article Custom Content.
Ways to Create Custom Content
SMARTFENSE allows you to create custom content in the following ways:
Based on predefined content templates from the platform.
From scratch, based on external material from the partner or client.
Content creation is done from the Custom Content section, selecting the desired component.
Key Considerations on Translations
When content is created from a predefined template, it is automatically generated in all available languages of that template.
Custom editing is done in the administrator user's language.
It is mandatory to update the content in all languages used by the users.
If this update is not performed, users will receive the original template content, without the custom changes.
When content is created from scratch, it is generated only in the administrator user's language.
It is necessary to manually create the content in all languages used by the users.
Important: custom content is not automatically translated into different languages.

In Interactive Modules, the module name, cover image, and background image are edited from the Translations column by selecting the desired language flag.

Important: the actions of adding, modifying, duplicating, deleting, or changing the order of a slide are automatically replicated in all languages of the Interactive Module.
Exams and Surveys
