Gamification Reports
This article describes the reports available on the Gamification card in the Reports section of SMARTFENSE: the Experience Points Ranking and the Badges Ranking. Both reports allow you to view user performance on the platform over a specified period.
To access these reports, go to the Reports menu, locate the Gamification card, and click the eye icon corresponding to the report you want to view.
Available Reports
The Gamification card contains two reports:
- Experience Points Ranking
- Badges Ranking
Both share the same presentation logic: a table ordered by position, with a date range filter and an export option.
Experience Points Ranking
Displays a ranking of users who earned the most experience points during a specified period within the platform.
The table includes the following columns:
- Position: the user's rank position according to the applied date filter.
- Username: the user's identifier.
- Experience Points: the number of points accumulated during the selected period.
- Level: the level reached by the user.
All data is displayed according to the date range set in the filter.
Badges Ranking
Displays a ranking of users who earned the most badges during a specified period within the platform.
The table includes the following columns:
- Position: the user's rank position according to the applied date filter.
- Username: the user's identifier.
- Badges Earned: the number of badges obtained during the selected period.
All data is displayed according to the date range set in the filter.
Available Filters
Both reports share the same filters:
- Start Date
- End Date
To apply the selected period, press the Filter button.
Export
Each report allows exporting information for all users (not just those visible in the on-screen table). When you press the export button, a file in CSV format downloads automatically.
- In the Experience Points Ranking, press the Export all users' scores button located at the top right corner of the table.
- In the Badges Ranking, press the Export all users' badges button located at the top right corner of the table.
The export respects the date range applied at the time of generating the file.
💡 Best Practices
- Apply the date filter before exporting to limit the report to the period of interest and avoid unnecessarily large files.
- Combine the analysis of both rankings to identify users who perform well in points but earn few badges, or vice versa.
- Use the export of all users for further analysis outside the platform or to integrate data with executive reports.
- Review the rankings periodically to detect engagement trends and reinforce recognition within the awareness program.
