This article describes the license definitions, allowed limits, and considerations for Multiclient Instances in SMARTFENSE.
Overview
SMARTFENSE turns cybersecurity awareness into an active defense strategy against human risk.
To learn about the available plans, visit the SMARTFENSE website and select the plan that best fits the needs of your organization.
License Definitions
Active licenses: users enabled in the customer's instance. The number of active users cannot exceed the number of licenses contracted.
Inactive licenses: disabled or inactive users. They do not consume licenses.
Allowed Limits
In SMARTFENSE, user rotation beyond reasonable limits associated with the natural turnover of employees in an organization is not allowed.
Creating users beyond the contracted licenses (overuse) is also not permitted.
If an instance is detected by internal controls and we validate excessive licensing use, we will contact the partner or the customer to regularize the situation or expand (upsell) the acquired licenses.
Multiclient Instances
Only Multiclient Instances allow a monthly license rotation.
💡 Best Practices
Periodically monitor the number of active users to avoid exceeding the contracted licenses.
Record user additions and removals to keep rotation controlled within the allowed thresholds.
