This article explains how automatic reminders work in SMARTFENSE campaigns and how to configure their frequency, delivery method, content, and behavior based on the user’s or platform’s language.
Overview of reminders
Reminders are automatic notifications sent when a campaign reaches half of its duration and when there is one day left before expiration.
These notifications are sent to all users who have not yet completed their assigned campaigns.
From Settings > Notifications > Reminders, it is possible to define whether SMARTFENSE should send reminders or not:

| Note: Reminders will be sent from Monday to Friday at the same time set as the start of the corresponding campaign. Reminders are only sent for Interactive Module, Video, Video Game, Exam, and Survey campaigns. |
Additionally, SMARTFENSE allows notifications to be sent in different languages, according to the languages configured in the user profiles of the organization.
This way, each user will receive the notification in their respective language, improving understanding and user experience.
Reminder frequency
Use the frequency predefined by SMARTFENSE
Depending on its duration, campaigns can have zero, one, or more reminders.
The platform automatically determines:
The halfway point of the campaign duration as the date for the first reminder.
The day before expiration as the date for the second reminder.
Sending avoids Saturdays and Sundays.
The reminder time will be the same as the configured campaign start time.
Use a custom frequency
Allows defining a frequency in days for sending reminders.
The campaign start date is taken as the base.
The indicated number of days is added to determine the date of the first reminder.
Reminders will continue to be sent until reaching the campaign end date.
Automatic adjustments according to calendar:
If the date falls on Saturday → proposed sending is the previous Friday.
If it falls on Sunday → proposed sending is the following Monday.
