Custom Password Policy
SMARTFENSE allows customizing the password policy according to the security needs of the organization.
In this section, it is possible to define the following parameters:
Minimum number of characters
Minimum number of uppercase letters
Minimum number of lowercase letters
Minimum number of numbers
Minimum number of symbols
These settings apply to passwords created or modified after saving the configuration.
💡 Best Practices
Set a minimum number of characters higher than the default value for environments with higher security requirements.
Require the combined use of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols to strengthen passwords.
Periodically review the Password Policy to align it with internal regulations or audit requirements.
Complement the password policy with Two-Factor Authentication for additional account protection.
