Yes, but it depends on the campaign status and the configured assignment mode. This article explains how changes in users and groups impact before and after the campaign starts.
Before the campaign starts
While the campaign is in Not started status, any changes to groups or users:
Are applied without restrictions
Will be correctly reflected at the time of start
This means you can:
Add or remove users
Modify groups
Change recipients
| Note: All changes will be considered when the campaign starts. |
After the campaign starts
Once the campaign moves to In progress status, the behavior will depend on the selected mode.
The available modes are:
Single initial assignment and specific expiration date
Recurring assignment and relative duration
Mode: Single initial assignment and specific expiration date
Users are assigned only at the time the campaign starts
Subsequent changes to groups or users have no effect
That is:
If you add users to a group → they will not be assigned
If you remove users from a group → they will remain assigned
Mode: Recurring assignment and relative duration
The campaign continues evaluating groups during its validity period
This means that:
If you add new users → they will be assigned automatically
The assignment is made the next day, at the same start time
If you remove users from the group → they will remain assigned to the campaign
Additionally:
Each user has an individual expiration date, calculated according to the configured duration
Recommendations
To avoid unexpected behaviors:
Properly define groups before starting the campaign
-
Choose the mode according to the need:
Single initial assignment → closed campaigns
Recurring assignment → dynamic campaigns (e.g., new hires)

Best practices
Validate groups before starting critical campaigns
Use recurring mode for ongoing processes (e.g., new hires)
Avoid structural modifications once a campaign has started
Conduct tests with small groups before mass campaigns
