It is not possible to edit a campaign once it has been completed. However, there are alternatives to reuse content or reassign it to specific users.
Can a completed campaign be edited?
No.
Once a campaign is in the Completed status, it has already generated:
Audit records
Associated statistics
For this reason, the campaign cannot be modified.
Alternative: mark as a test campaign
If you need the campaign to stop impacting reports:
You can use the “Mark as test campaign” button.
To do this:
Go to Campaigns > Calendar / Campaign list
Find the campaign and access "View campaign details"
Go to the "Information and actions" tab
Select “Mark as test campaign”
This will allow:
Its records not to be considered in statistics
It not to impact historical reports
| Important: A campaign marked as a test campaign cannot be marked again as a real campaign. |
Alternative: create a new campaign
The recommended option is:
Create a new campaign with the same content
This allows:
Correctly reassigning users
Maintaining consistency in audit and metrics
What to do if only some users did not complete the campaign?
In this case, you can:
-
Create a group with those users
You can create a Group or an Inverse group based on statistics
For example, the inverse group of those who completed the content will automatically generate the group of those who did not complete it
To do this:
Go to Campaigns > Calendar / Campaign list
Find the campaign and access "View campaign details"
Go to the "Information and actions" tab
-
Assign them a new specific campaign
From Campaigns > Calendar / Campaign list > New campaign
Also, inverse groups can be reused in future campaigns to facilitate segmentation.
Recommendation for future campaigns
To avoid this type of situation, it is recommended to use the mode:
Recurring assignment and relative duration
You can watch our workshop on this type of campaign for more details. Campaign Automation in SMARTFENSE
This mode allows:
Automatically including new users
Keeping campaigns active for continuous assignments
Reducing the need to create additional campaigns
Considerations
Completed campaigns cannot be reopened or edited
Modifications must be made through new campaigns
Proper initial planning avoids rework
Best practices
Plan target groups in advance
Use dynamic or inverse groups for segmentation
Prefer recurring campaigns for continuous processes
Validate results before completing critical campaigns
