This behavior mainly occurs in test sends, as they are designed to validate the content display and not the collection of statistics.
How does the test send work?
Some contents allow sending a test email from the platform.
To do so:
Go to Content Gallery
Select the corresponding component: phishing, ransomware, newsletter.
Search for the desired content
Click the “Send me test” button
The system will send an email to the administrator user’s inbox who is clicking the button, simulating the reception of the content.
Why does it ask to log in?
If the content includes links that lead to pages within the platform:
The system will ask to log in
This happens for security reasons
And because it is a test environment
This behavior is expected.
Important consideration
Sends made using the “Send me test” button:
Are aimed at validating the content display
Are not designed to validate the collection of statistics
For this reason, they do not fully reflect the experience of a real campaign.
Recommended alternative
If you want to validate the full behavior of the content (including statistics), it is recommended to:
Create a campaign
Mark it as a “Test campaign”
This will allow you to:
Receive the email as an end user
Correctly validate the interaction and its registration on the platform
💡 Best practices
Use “Send me test” only to validate display
Use test campaigns to validate statistics
Verify links that require authentication before sending real campaigns
