This article explains why an administrative user may not see a custom content and how to correctly preview it according to the language and catalog permissions configured in the instance.
Displaying custom content according to language and catalog
Custom contents are shown to each administrative user in the language set in their profile. If the user's language does not match the language in which the content was created or customized, it may not appear in searches or listings.
In these cases, verify that:
The language set in the user's profile matches the language of the content.
The content exists and is properly published in that language.
Additionally, contents can be organized into different catalogs. If the administrative user does not have permissions for the catalog where the content is located, it will not be visible on the platform.
Make sure the user has the corresponding permissions in the relevant catalog to access and manage the content.
How to preview a custom content in a specific language?
To preview a custom content in a specific language, it is recommended to temporarily change the language of the user you are logged in with.
You can perform this action in the following ways:
Go to Users and groups > Users.
Edit the user you are logged in with.
Change the profile language to the language in which you want to preview the content.
Save the changes and access the content again to view it in that language.
Alternatively, you can change the language from the user's profile:
Click on the user's name at the top right of the screen.
Go to the Profile menu.
Select Edit profile.
Change the language and save the settings.
This change only affects content display and can be reverted at any time.
💡 Best practices
Always check the language set in the administrative user's profile before searching for or validating custom contents.
Ensure that contents are customized in all languages used by the instance's users to avoid inconsistencies in display.
Review the catalog permissions when creating or assigning contents, especially in environments with multiple catalogs or administrative roles.
Use a test user or temporarily change your language to properly validate the display of multilingual contents.
