This article explains the different ways to change a password on the platform and details the security reasons why a reset link may become invalid.
How to change the password from the login screen
If you cannot access your account, you can start the reset process from the login screen:
On the login screen, select Forgot your password?.
Enter your email address.
The platform will automatically send a link to your inbox to complete the password change.
How to change the password from the user profile
If you are already logged into the platform, you can change your password from your profile:
At the top right of the screen, click on your username.
Access Edit profile.
Enter the new password and save the changes.
How to change another user's password (administrator users)
A user with administrative permissions can modify another user's password from:
Users and groups > Users
To do so:
Go to Users and groups > Users.
Find and edit the corresponding user.
Set the new password and save the changes.
Why might the reset link appear as invalid?
For security reasons, password change links have limitations that can cause them to become invalid.
1. Link expiration
The link sent by email is valid for 72 hours from the time the password reset was requested.
After that time has passed, the link expires and a new one must be requested.
2. Multiple reset requests
If the password reset is requested multiple times, only the link from the most recent email sent will be valid.
Links generated from previous requests are automatically invalidated.
Recommendation to avoid invalid links
It is recommended to request the password reset only once and wait to receive the email before attempting the process again. This prevents previous links from being invalidated and reduces the chance of errors during the password change.

Always use the most recent link received in your email to reset your password.
If the link has expired or does not work, request a new reset from Forgot your password? instead of reusing old links.
Administrator users should inform end users when their password has been manually changed from Users and groups > Users to avoid confusion when trying to log in.
