Yes, it is possible to allow access without manually entering credentials by using native authentication without credentials or by using Single Sign On (SSO) with Microsoft Entra ID or Google.
Available Methods
There are two ways to allow end users to access without manual authentication:
1. SMARTFENSE native authentication without credentials
If the platform's native authentication is used, it is possible to enable access without credentials.
To configure it:
- Go to Users and Groups > Authentication > SMARTFENSE platform native authentication (with or without credentials)
- Click Next
- Select the option “Authentication without credentials”
This option allows users to access assigned content directly without needing to enter a username and password.
2. Single Sign On (SSO) with Microsoft Entra ID or Google
It is also possible to allow access without manual authentication using SSO.
In this case:
- If the user is already authenticated in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) or Google
- They will be able to access SMARTFENSE automatically without needing to enter their credentials again

User Authentication (SSO)
Considerations
- Access without credentials depends on the configured authentication method
- In the case of SSO, the user must be previously authenticated with their identity provider
💡 Best Practices
- Define the authentication method according to the organization's security policy
- Validate the user experience before deploying to production
- Use SSO for corporate environments with centralized access control
