We are sharing the video of the Workshop conducted by our technical team called Users and Groups in SMARTFENSE. In this session, we provide a practical exercise on the required configuration for the connection to Google Workspace (from minute 36:25) and to Microsoft Entra ID.

Users
In the SMARTFENSE platform, you can define how you want users to be imported from Google Workspace.
- Users to import: You can either import all users from the directory or import only users belonging to certain groups. This latter option allows you to enter the names of the groups to which the users you want to import belong. You can enter the group names separated by commas if there is more than one group.
Important: This filter allows you to import only those users who are of interest to carry out your awareness program. This configuration does not affect which groups will be imported; it only determines which users from your active directory will be created as SMARTFENSE users.
Finally, you can define how the status of users and how to treat users deleted from your Google Workspace will be reflected in SMARTFENSE.
- User status: You can select between the options to Use status defined in SMARTFENSE and Reflect in SMARTFENSE the status of Google users. On the one hand, if you choose to use the status defined in SMARTFENSE, the platform sets new users with an Active status. The status defined in SMARTFENSE is maintained for already imported users. On the other hand, if you choose to reflect in SMARTFENSE the status of Google users, the status of the users will be determined by their suspended attribute.
- Users deleted in Google: You can choose to Keep Google deleted users without changes in SMARTFENSE or Deactivate Google deleted users in SMARTFENSE. These options allow you to define what SMARTFENSE should do when a user previously imported into the platform is deleted in Google. You can either keep this user unchanged in SMARTFENSE or automatically deactivate them.
