To use this functionality, you must first read the article Importing users from a CSV file. There, it is explained how to prepare the CSV file for use in importing from an FTP server.
Once the file is created, complete the following data from the Users and Groups > Import and Synchronization > From CSV File in Remote FTP section. Press the Save button to access the configuration of the server data, user data, and file location to import.
Server: the name or IP address of the FTP server containing the CSV file to import.
Port: this is the port through which the SMARTFENSE platform will establish the connection with the server indicated in the previous point.
Use TLS: this field allows you to decide whether the FTP connection will be made through a secure channel (Yes option) or an insecure channel (No option). We recommend always using a secure channel because the CSV file to import contains private data.
User: this is the username authorized to log in to the FTP server mentioned in the server data.
Password: the password of the authorized user.
File location: in this field, you must indicate the absolute path where the CSV file to import is located within the FTP server.
Check Connection
Once the data is configured, you can press the Check Connection button to ensure connectivity between the SMARTFENSE platform and the indicated FTP server.
